Uzbek envoy, PhAMA Executive Director discuss establishment of cooperation ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov met with the Executive Director of the Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA) Ewe Kheng Huat.

During the meeting, the Uzbek envoy provided detailed information on development of pharmaceutical industry in Uzbekistan, measures taken to develop the industry, ensuring the availability and free circulation of medicines and medical products.

Special attention was paid to possibilities of Nukus-Pharm, Zomin-Pharm, Kosonsoy-Pharm, Sirdaryo-Pharm, Boysun-Pharm, Bustonlik-Pharm and Parkent-Pharm free economic zones.

The parties discussed issues of further cooperation in pharmaceutical industry, conducting joint research works, including based on public-private partnership.

The sides reached an agreement on organization of the visit of representatives of the Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia to Uzbekistan to discuss issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in such areas as involvement of world’s leading pharmaceutical companies for conducting research in Uzbekistan, organization of joint production of drugs, introduction of Malaysia’s experience, conducting training courses.
