Uzbek envoy meets with chief of Russian Central Election Commission

At the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation between the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as participation in elections as observers between two states.

Bahrom Ashrafhanov briefed the Russian side on preparation to the upcoming presidential elections on 4 December 2016. He said that Uzbekistan pays great attention to attraction of observers and hopes that the Russian observers will also participate in the elections.

Ella Pamfilova expressed gratitude to invitation to participate in the presidential elections in Uzbekistan. She underlined interest of the Russian election body in further developing of cooperation with the Uzbek colleagues both in bilateral and multilateral format.
