Uzbek envoy holds talks with leading Belgian company in weaving industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries Dilyor Khakimov met with representatives of the leading Belgian company in weaving industry.

The parties discussed practical issues of further developing cooperation, expanding the presence in Uzbekistan of Picanol’s high-tech weaving machines, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

At the meeting, representatives of Picanol noted that today they have partners in almost every region of Uzbekistan, where they produce textile products on their equipment.

In 2018, Picanol supplied 350 looms to Uzbekistan, which is 10 times more than in 2017.

The parties summed up the interaction in 2018 and discussed specific areas of developing cooperation in the coming 2019.
