Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Uzbek Embassy in China issued an appeal to compatriots studying in China on 7 February 2020

In recent weeks, citizens of Uzbekistan, regardless of their place of residence, age, or social status, have been anxiously watching the process of the return of our compatriots from China in connection with the outbreak of coronavirus 2019-nCoV.

The embassy expressed sincere gratitude to all our students studying in Chinese universities and their relatives for the restraint, patience, culture and mutual understanding shown these days. It is these qualities that have been demonstrated by most of our compatriots that have become one of the important conditions for the successful solution of the tasks in such a short period of time.

Thanks to the personal attention of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the support of the Government, as well as the joint efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy, the involved ministries and departments of Uzbekistan and China, scrupulous, comprehensive work has been carried out to evacuate more than 600 of our compatriots to their homeland.
