Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As previously reported, a group of our doctors with extensive experience and skills in combating coronavirus infection, effective treatment of infected patients, went to the Republic of Tajikistan.

Today, these doctors, who worked effectively with their Tajik colleagues, returned to our country.

It should be noted that during the visit, our specialists organized a series of conferences with the participation of officials and doctors of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan, where they provided detailed information on the epidemic situation in Uzbekistan and measures taken to prevent the spread of infection. Master classes were also held on the effective treatment of patients, the proper use of personal protective equipment, compliance with hygiene rules and the implementation of disinfection measures in hospitals.

Our specialists, such as resuscitation anaesthesiologists, pulmonologists, epidemiologists, infectious disease specialists, virologists, in collaboration with their Tajik colleagues, developed a number of recommendations and on this basis effective measures were taken.

In particular, a central group of leading specialists was created in the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan to study the situation with coronavirus infection in the country, plan additional measures if necessary, and provide qualified medical care to patients in serious condition. In addition, based on the experience of Uzbekistan, a Call Center was created to quickly examine and resolve complaints from the population regarding coronavirus infection. In order to protect the population from coronavirus, a systematic SMS alert was launched through mobile companies.

In addition, during the visit, a number of online video conferences were held with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan, heads of regional and district medical institutions, specialists from infectious hospitals.

In general, the Tajik side noted that the practical measures taken by Uzbek specialists for 14 days together with Tajik specialists for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus infection are very effective.

Indeed, the Uzbek and Tajik peoples have always stood shoulder to shoulder. We can see this on the example of our dedicated doctors who helped the Tajik people with the necessary support and recommendations.

Representatives of the Ministry of Health of our country solemnly and with high respect met the medical workers who returned after completing such an honorable assignment.
