Uzbek Diplomats Discuss Progress of Nuclear Power Plant Dry Cooling Project with MVM EGI Zrt.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek diplomats held a meeting with Peter Karpati, Chief Executive Officer of the Hungarian company MVM EGI Zrt., Dunyo News Agency reports.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current status of the project to introduce dry cooling technology at the nuclear power plant under construction in Uzbekistan.
The Hungarian side noted that work on the project is being carried out in a consistent and efficient manner. However, in order to move the project into its practical implementation phase, it is necessary to accelerate the signing of a trilateral agreement.
Preparatory work on the agreement is currently being conducted jointly with the Uzatom Agency.
In addition, the company’s CEO emphasized that MVM is interested in entering the Uzbek market and is considering Uzbekistan as a location for establishing itself as a major and long-term strategic partner.
He also confirmed the company’s readiness to consider proposals for new investment projects.
