Uzbek diplomat visits Marufjon Shakarov in Russian jail

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 July 2018, an employee of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia visited the Uzbek citizen Mairufjon Shakarov in SIZO-1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in Moscow.

During the meeting, Shakarov did not complain about the state of his health. Every day, the management of the SIZO conducts a conversation with him and the doctor examines him. Currently, there is no need to provide emergency medical assistance.

As explained by the management of SIZO-1, in case of refusal from the hunger strike Shakarov will be placed in the medical unit for the restoration of health.
