Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 June 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland, Piotr Iwaszkiewicz, via videoconference, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Current issues of Uzbekistan – Poland relations and promising directions for further development of bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other areas of mutual interest were discussed during the conversation.

The parties noted with satisfaction the growth of trade turnover in the first quarter of this year, which is almost a third exceeded similar indicators of 2019.

The schedule of the upcoming meetings at the highest levels was also considered during the negotiations.
