Uzbek Delegation Studies Denmark’s Experience in Digitalizing Public Services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Eldor Makhkamov, Head of the Department of Public Services at the Ministry of Justice, studied the Kingdom of Denmark’s experience in providing public services.

During the visit, the delegation held meetings at Denmark’s Digital Government Center with leadership and key specialists from the Ministry of Digital Government, the Digital Government Agency, the Danish Government IT Services Agency, the Chamber of Commerce, the Directorate General of Health, the National Archives, and the Data Protection Agency.

Discussions focused on advanced approaches to implementing digital technologies in public administration, optimizing service delivery processes, outsourcing certain government functions to the private sector, digitalizing data and documents, and measures to protect personal information.

Special attention was given to the practical application of digital solutions developed through collaboration among the government, businesses, and research institutions, including tools designed to simplify business launch and operations.

The working visit was organized as part of the project “Further Improvement of Public Service Delivery in Uzbekistan,” implemented by the Ministry of Justice in partnership with the UN Development Programme and financially supported by the European Union.
