Uzbek Delegation Participates in 59th CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Session in Dushanbe
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 November 2025, the Uzbek parliamentary delegation, led by Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva, participated in the 59th plenary session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
During the session, delegates discussed the development of regional interparliamentary cooperation, improvement of legislative frameworks, and promotion of sustainable socio-economic development. Particular attention was given to the exchange of parliamentary experience, drafting model laws and recommendations, as well as youth policy, law enforcement, migration, territorial security, environmental protection, and social stability.
In her speech, Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva proposed initiatives for the creation of a Youth Parliament, combating human trafficking, and the social rehabilitation of victims.
Humanitarian projects aimed at strengthening territorial security and preserving historical memory were also presented, including programs designed to instill national and universal values in younger generations, such as the “Children’s Commonwealth” and the “Memory Train” initiatives.
Delegations from CIS countries highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s active participation and proactive role in regional projects, particularly in youth policy and the preservation of historical memory.
The session concluded with decisions laying the groundwork for further interparliamentary cooperation, enhancing regional stability, and improving legislative frameworks. The Uzbek delegation made a significant contribution to the development of parliamentary diplomacy within the CIS.
