Uzbek delegation holds talks in Tokyo

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, which paid visit to Tokyo on 23-26 September 2013 to participate in next round of the political consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Japan, held negotiations and meetings with the officials of Japan.

The delegation held meeting and negotiations with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of Japan, chairperson of parliamentary friendship group “Liberal-Democratic Party – Uzbekistan” Taro Aso, Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Minori Kiuchi, Deputy Minister of Finance Mitsuhiro Furusawa, Chairperson of parliamentary friendship league “Democratic Party – Uzbekistan”, MP of the House of Representatives Koitiro Gemba, MP of the House of Councilors Kyoko Nakayama, Special representative on Central Asian affairs Norio Maruyama.

During the talks, the sides discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation and perspectives of developing of cooperation in various areas.

The delegation of Uzbekistan also held a meeting at the Japanese-Uzbek committee on economic cooperation.
