Uzbek delegation attends event in Vienna

The delegation of Uzbekistan included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management, and Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended byy representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS), the World Bank, relevant UN structures, as well as international experts, Jahon news agency reported.

The participants discussed problems of the interpretation and effective application of basic principles of international law on the management of trans-boundary water resources, mechanisms of practical implementation of basic principles and norms of international law in order to prevent disputes and promote cooperation in the Aral Sea Basin.
