Uzbek Defender Abdulkodir Khusanov to Miss Gabon Friendly

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdulkodir Khusanov, defender for the Uzbekistan national team and English club Manchester City, will miss the friendly match against Gabon.

The player had previously been sent off during the final of the Al Ain International Cup, held in November 2025 in the UAE. The Uzbekistan vs. Gabon match is scheduled to kick off at 19:00 on 27 March.

Under FIFA regulations, receiving a red card results in an automatic suspension for the next official or friendly match of the national team.

The Uzbekistan national football team recently won the Al Ain International Cup, defeating Iran in a penalty shootout to claim the title.
