Uzbek Citizens Can Travel Visa-Free to Around 40 Countries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Citizens of Uzbekistan now have the opportunity to enter approximately 40 countries without a visa, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministry emphasized that creating conditions for the free and comfortable travel of citizens abroad, as well as lifting or simplifying visa requirements, remains a key priority of the country’s foreign policy.

The MFA noted that systematic efforts are underway in this direction, with regular negotiations with international partners yielding tangible results.

Between 2023 and 2025, Uzbekistan established visa-free regimes with nearly ten countries, including China, the UAE, Thailand, Oman, and Iran. In addition, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Vietnam have simplified visa procedures for Uzbek citizens.

Official data shows that Uzbek nationals can currently enter about 40 countries without a visa and travel to an additional 42 countries under simplified procedures. Among them are Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Barbados, Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, Dominica, Iran, Palestine, the Philippines, Haiti, Gambia, Georgia, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, Malaysia, the Federated States of Micronesia, Mongolia, Moldova, Namibia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Ukraine, and Qatar.

The ministry stressed that negotiations are ongoing with dozens of countries to further expand the geography of visa-free travel.

At the same time, citizens are advised to verify the latest entry requirements via the IATA Timatic system, with airlines, or directly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as visa regulations may change.
