Uzbek citizen extradited from Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizens of Uzbekistan Suhrob Fazilov was extradited from Russia, the press service of Moscow city Prosecutor’s Office said.

He is accused of organizing a criminal community, fraud and legalization of proceeds from criminal activity.

The Uzbek law enforcement bodies have been searching for him since 2010. He created a criminal group and financial pyramid.

Being a member of criminal community, Suhrob Fazilov stole US$61,000 from 140 citizens of Samarkand region in 2008-2009 and sent money to accounts of foreign company.

At the same time, during 2008-2009, along with other heads of divisions of the criminal community legalized over US$13 million.

Fazilov was detained in Moscow in November 2017. After extradition inspection of the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office, the decision was adopted to extradite him to Uzbekistan.
