Nine projects on modernization and reconstruction of capacities on cement production were included to investment programme for 2014.
Kyzylkumcement, Ahangrancement, Bekabadcement and Kuvosoycement are planning to implement projects on reconstruction and modernization of their capacities.
Kyzylkumcement is planning to invest US$39.61 million within three projects in three years. The programme of modernization envisages construction of new cement mill with the capacity of 500,000 tonnes a year, modernization of technical line on clinker production, construction of substation.
Ahangarancement (projects for US3.9 million) and Bekabadcement (US$3.55 million) will replace old equipment and modernize existing technological lines. Kuvasoycement will implement two projects for US$2.07 million.
Uzbekistan currently has six cement plants with installed capacity of about 8 million tones. Uzbekistan increased cement production by 3.1% year-on-year to 6.99 million tonnes in 2013.
