Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The General Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Justice, with the participation of relevant departments of Uzbekistan, are working together with the competent authorities of Switzerland, France, the Russian Federation, Latvia and other countries on the issue of returning criminally acquired assets of Gulnara Karimova.
Together with the Swiss federal prosecutor’s office, with the involvement of experts from Uzbekistan, work is underway to establish belonging to the national heritage and the subsequent return of 70 objects of art (paintings, art and architecture, etc.), which were discovered during the search at the arrested villa of Gulnara Karimova in the city of Geneva.
Earlier, in Uzbekistan, at the addresses of Karimova G., 985 pieces of art objects (paintings, suzanne, jewelry, ceramics, wood art, etc.) recognized as material, cultural and artistic values for over 12.7 billion soums were discovered and arrested.
These paintings and objects of art were handed over to the the State Museum of the History of Applied Arts and Crafts of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of History and Culture of Ferghana region, the State Museum of History and Culture of Andijan region, the Chirchik City Museum of History.
