Uzbek Athletes Add More Medals to Their Tally in Bahrain
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Team Uzbekistan continues its strong performance at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, adding more medals to its collection.
Representing the country in mixed martial arts, Kamronbek Kodirov (up to 65 kg) and Abdulboriy Abdugafurov (up to 70 kg) both won bronze medals after losing their semifinal bouts.
Another medal was brought in by track and field athlete Shodiyona Rakhmonova, marking her second at these Games. In the 400-meter hurdles, she finished third, once again stepping onto the podium with a bronze medal. Earlier, she had also won bronze in the 100-meter hurdles event.
Following the latest results, Team Uzbekistan has secured a total of 22 medals — including 9 gold, 4 silver, and 9 bronze.
