Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 March, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During the call, the two leaders warmly congratulated each other on the occasion of the sacred holiday of Ramazan Hayit, extending sincere wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being to the peoples of both countries.

They discussed key aspects of further strengthening Uzbek-Turkish relations within the framework of their comprehensive strategic partnership. It was noted that bilateral cooperation is developing dynamically, with expanding trade and economic ties, increasing investments, the implementation of joint projects, and a growing number of direct flights between the two nations.

Special attention was given to preparations for the upcoming meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council and the summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

The leaders also emphasized the significance of upcoming events in Uzbekistan, including the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, a joint business forum, and the visit of a Turkish parliamentary delegation to participate in the 150th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly.

At the end of their conversation, the presidents exchanged views on pressing issues on the international agenda.
