Uzbek and Russian Presidents discuss bilateral agenda in Moscow
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 May, as part of the Victory Day commemorations in Moscow, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The two leaders exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II.
During the meeting, the presidents discussed current priorities for strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, with particular focus on the implementation of agreements reached during President Putin’s visit to Uzbekistan in May of last year.
They emphasized the importance of taking coordinated steps to sustain the positive momentum in bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
Special attention was given to the accelerated development and launch of joint projects in key economic sectors, as well as the expansion of interregional collaboration and cooperative ties.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the growing intensity of humanitarian exchanges, especially in the fields of culture, science, education, and the arts.
They also exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues.
