Uzbek and British FMs Discuss Expansion of Bilateral Cooperation in Trade and Investment

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks with the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Yvette Cooper.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further expansion and strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Special attention was given to developing bilateral cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment, sustainable infrastructure development, the energy sector, and enhancement of regional connectivity.

Following the discussions, Memoranda of Understanding were signed to accelerate practical cooperation through the implementation of joint projects, the use of “green” financing instruments, and the expansion of educational and academic exchanges.
