Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 October 2019, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan with his residence in Jakarta Ulugbek Rozukulov presented his credentials to the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, during a conversation held as part of the official ceremony, issues of further development of relations between Uzbekistan and Vietnam both bilaterally and in multilateral formats were discussed.
The head of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam praised the reforms being carried out in our country, noting that the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev not only contribute to the comprehensive development of Uzbekistan, but also serve to further strengthen mutual trust and interaction in the region as a whole.
Nguyen Phu Trong separately dwelled on the prospects of trade, economic and investment cooperation. In particular, he noted with satisfaction the growth of trade between our countries, the development of cooperation in the fields of agriculture and aquaculture. Moreover, in his opinion, the planned regular meeting of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission in Hanoi will open up even more potential areas of cooperation.
At the end of the conversation, the head of Vietnam conveyed the wishes of success and prosperity to the leadership and people of Uzbekistan.
