UzBAT A.O. produces 4.688 bn cigarettes in Jan-Jun 2012

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- British American Tobacco Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-British joint venture in form of open joint stock company (UzBAT A.O.), produced 4.688 billion cigarettes in January-June 2012, which is 24.1% less compared to the same period of 2011.

RIA Novosti reported quoting State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan that the volume of cigarettes exports of the venture fell by 20.9% to 274 million units.

UzBAT also decreased sales of cigarettes in internal market of Uzbekistan by 23.8% to 4.303 billion units.
