Uzavtosanoat reach agreement with manufacturers to reduce the prices of components

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzavtosanoat agreed with manufacturers to lower component prices by an average of 20% by the end of 2018. This was announced by the chairman of the board of Uzavtosanoat Shavkat Umurzakov.

He said that the company had agreed with car component manufacturers to decrease prices for an average of 20% until the end of 2018.

"We will act step by step. Because if we tell them to immediately reduce the prices of components by 30%, then we will kill them completely, the production of cars will be further reduced and there will be an even greater deficit, as these companies have loans with interest rates from 10 to 20%,” he explained.

Shavkat Umurzakov noted that lowering the prices for components will reduce the cost of production of cars by 9% and bring the production of cars to 220,000 units per year.

The head of the company added that by the end of 2018 "Uzavtosanoat" plans to produce an additional 140,000 cars.

He stressed that manufacturers will deliver components in time and GM Uzbekistan will produce cars in time and deliver them to the public. “There will not be an artificial deficit, we will be able to meet demand,” he explained.
