Uzavtosanoat expects that domestic market of passengers cars

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzavtosanoat (Uzbekistan Car Industry) expects that the domestic market of passenger cars up to 450,000-460,000 units from current 300,000 units now. This was stated in Tashkent during the press conference.

During the event, it was underlined that the ongoing reforms in the country will allow by 2030 to increase the domestic market of passenger cars from 300,000 to 450,000-460,000 units and the volume of sales of buses from 1,000 to 2,000 units.

In this regard, on the part of Uzavtosanoat JSC, a conceptually new model of development of the automotive industry has been formed through the successful implementation of the new concept of the further development of the automotive industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030.

In addition, the full implementation of the concept will reduce the level of state participation in the economic activities of industry enterprises, increasing labor productivity and ensuring the transition to a qualitatively new level of development.

 The demand for cars generates the need for high-tech products of the metallurgical, chemical, electrical and other industries, providing employment in the amount of more than 200 thousand people from the working-age population. In the industry itself, more than 40 large and medium-sized enterprises and organizations are united, employing more than 27 thousand people. The industry’s share in the GDP of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2018 was 6.6%; in the industry’s share in the industrial sector for 2018, it was 28.2%.

Today, the annual production capacity of passenger cars is 300,000 units, the production capacity of trucks and buses is 10,000 units in year.
