“UzAuto Motors” Clarifies Chevrolet Cobalt Sales Process and Refutes Corruption Rumors
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 November 2025, UzAuto Motors offered 100,000 Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles for sale.
According to the terms of the contract, any orders not paid within seven days were canceled. As a result, 20,833 vehicles were fully paid for.
Following the completion of the online ordering process, the company received numerous inquiries from citizens who were unable to purchase a vehicle. It was also found that many contracts submitted on 3 November were made without a genuine intention to buy. Therefore, after the payment deadline, the company decided to continue sales of Chevrolet Cobalt through official dealer centers.
Now, any customer who was unable to complete a purchase through the online system can buy a vehicle from any authorized Chevrolet dealer. Buyers can choose the dealer, select a vehicle from available stock, and install additional equipment while retaining warranty conditions.
All vehicles sold through the dealer network are processed via UzAuto Motors’ unified system, and each contract includes a QR code confirming its authenticity.
As of 20 November 2025, dealer centers have received 2,624 Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles, of which 1,969 have already been sold and delivered to customers. These numbers continue to grow daily. Approximately 6,000 more vehicles are on the way to dealers. The company emphasized that sales through dealers do not affect the fulfillment of obligations for vehicles purchased online.
By 20 November, more than half of the vehicles scheduled for November delivery had already been handed over to customers. Vehicles scheduled for delivery in December 2025 and January 2026 are planned to be fully prepared for handover by 15 December, meaning UzAuto Motors is fulfilling its obligations ahead of schedule.
The company also addressed circulating social media claims regarding potential corruption in the sale of Chevrolet Cobalt. UzAuto Motors stressed its zero-tolerance policy for corruption and urged customers to immediately report any illegal activity or extortion at dealer centers to the Compliance Department.
Investigations found that the author of the circulated message provided no evidence.
UzAuto Motors emphasized that such statements damage the reputation of both the manufacturer and official dealers and called on the public to refrain from spreading unverified information. The company reiterated its readiness for constructive dialogue and to review all inquiries related to customer rights violations.
