UWED host conference on new technologies of learning English

The conference was organized by British Council in Uzbekistan at the support of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The conference was designed for students and teachers, who study English. It was directed at popularizing English language and effectively using modern ICT technologies in learning process.

During the conference, the students received chance to participate in master classes, conducted by native English speakers and teachers of English language. They also had chance to share their view on effective methods of learning English with the use of ICT.

The conference was attended by about 150 students of various educational institutions of Tashkent city and teachers.

The event included plenary session, which was attended by representatives of the British diplomatic missions and shared their experience of learning foreign languages.

At the sessions, the participants received chance to familiarize with modern methods of studying English language with help of video, website, mobile apps, etc.

The conference included debate on use of modern technologies and demonstration of play from students of Westminster International University in Tashkent.

During the event, Ucell and British Council presented a new service “Phrase of the Day”. The service will help people to study English words and test their knowledge.

At the end of the conference, the active participants and young presenters received awards.
