Ustandard to monitor low-quality and hazardous products

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government resolution approved the regulation on the procedure for monitoring the risk of importation, production and sale of low-quality and dangerous products for human life, health, property of businesses and individuals, the environment.

In accordance with the Regulations, the monitoring will be conducted by the Agency “Ustandard” by means of maintaining the database of low-quality and dangerous products.

Substandard and hazardous products will be detected by customs, environmental, quarantine, construction, health and other authorities.

Data on substandard and hazardous products will be transferred to the Uzstandart Agency, the Agency enters these data into the database.

The agency summarizes the data received during the week and sends information about low-quality and hazardous products to the authorities, the Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Consumer Rights Protection Societies, major retail chains.

The manufacturer, who eliminated the identified deficiencies, sends an appeal to the Agency to remove this product from the database.

If the results of the study are positive, the Agency removes the real products from the database.
