US to issue US$12.05m to law enforcement, customs bodies of Uzbekistan

In particular, the US Government will issue US$6.055 million to project on strengthening material-technical provision of the law enforcement and customs bodies.

Within the project, Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan, Committee on protection of the state border of the National Security Service of Uzbekistan and State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan will receive individual protection means, communication equipment, analytical software Penlink, vehicles, scanning and security examination equipment, etc.

The US will also provide US$4 million to Uzbekistan to the project on reconstruction of customs post “Alat”.

Another US$2 million will be issued to construction of border complex “Lyabob”.
