Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo expressed warm words about the Partnership for Innovation program in Uzbekistan, implemented by the Yuksalish National Movement together with the ARGO Civil Society Development Association (Kazakhstan) with financial support from the US Agency for international development (USAID).

On his Twitter page, he welcomed the resource for providing free psychological assistance to citizens in a pandemic, launched by the Nationwide Yuksalish Movement, the Partnership for Innovation program team, Nihol Support and Development Center, psychologists and volunteers. In particular, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said: “We take domestic violence seriously, and our help abroad is aimed at overcoming the problem. We are proud of our USAID colleagues working with partners in Uzbekistan to help families experiencing stress and pressure in connection with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.”

On 26 March 2020, the national movement "Yuksalish" called on volunteers and representatives of NGOs to help those in need during the quarantine period. The response to this was the launch on 7 April by a group of volunteers of a special Telegram channel and bot.

In turn, Akmal Burkhanov, chairman of the Yuksalish National Movement, expressed gratitude to a group of activists who came up with the initiative to provide free psychological assistance to those in need.
