US Interpol National Central Bureau delegation visits Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As part of an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, a delegation of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the United States of America, led by director Wayne Howard Salzgaber, visited the police department of Tashkent.

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent, Major General Rustam Juraev met the guests and negotiated with them.

The parties discussed issues of strengthening cooperation on the international wanted list of people wanted for crimes, consolidating efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism, trafficking in human beings and illegal migration, as well as cybercrime.

During the negotiations, the parties agreed to increase cooperation on the exchange of experience and information, organize joint trainings to improve the professionalism of law enforcement officials.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere, in the form of a constructive dialogue of parties interested in strengthening cooperation and expanding the spectrum of partnership in the common cause of ensuring law and order and the safety of citizens.

During the visit, the guests were presented with the Information Service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent and told about its goals, objectives, projects implemented with the participation of journalists, civil society institutions and the public.

On the same day, a delegation of the US Interpol National Security Center, led by director Wayne Salzgaber, visited one of the district departments of the interior, where she familiarized herself with the conditions created for citizens and personnel. It was demonstrated the material and technical equipment of the department, including automotive equipment, and also talked about modern information and communication technologies introduced into the activities of the internal affairs bodies.
