US envoy congratulates people of Uzbekistan with New Year

“On behalf of the people of the United States of America and my colleagues and their families at the American Embassy in Tashkent, I would like to express my heartfelt greetings to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the New Year,” the US envoy said.

“In 2013, we continued to strengthen and expand the bilateral ties between the United States and Uzbekistan. The recent Annual Bilateral Consultations, which took place in Washington in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and respect, provided an opportunity to constructively engage on the full range of issues including in the trade-economic, political, cultural, social, governance and regional security fields,” the message reads.

“We look forward to continuing our important partnership with Uzbekistan in achieving even more success in the coming years in all areas of the bilateral relationship. We are confident that working together closely we can realize new opportunities for both of our nations,” Krol noted.
