U.S. Embassy Clarifies FIFA PASS for Uzbekistan Soccer Fans

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan has issued a clarification regarding the FIFA PASS priority appointment system, which allows 2026 FIFA World Cup ticket holders to significantly reduce wait times for visa interviews.

To participate in the program, fans must possess a ticket purchased through the official FIFA platform. Applicants are required to log into their personal accounts at fifa.com/tickets and submit a consent form for the FIFA PASS, ensuring that their name and passport number exactly match the data in their international travel documents.

Subsequently, applicants must complete the DS-160 online application on the official U.S. Department of State visa portal, providing passport information identical to their FIFA profile. Once the visa fee is paid and the ticket is verified through the system, the applicant will be granted access to a priority interview queue.

The Embassy emphasized that this streamlined procedure does not waive standard security requirements. Possession of a match ticket does not guarantee visa issuance; the final decision rests with the consular officer during the personal interview. Applicants are encouraged to provide accurate information and be prepared to answer questions regarding their travel plans.

The 2026 World Cup marks a historic milestone for Uzbekistan, as the national team has qualified for the global tournament for the first time in its history—a breakthrough that has garnered significant international media attention.
