US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State travel to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Fatema Sumar will travel 16-19 March to Uzbekistan, the US Embassy in Uzbekistan said in a statement.

During her visit, Deputy Assistant Secretary Sumar will seek to further broaden and deepen the US – Uzbekistan relationship.

Ms. Sumar will meet with government and business leaders in Tashkent to discuss the full range of bilateral and regional issues, including economic integration within the framework of the New Silk Road vision.

DAS Sumar will also travel to Termez to discuss cross-border trade experiences with businessmen and female entrepreneurs.
