Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 April 2020, Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to radically improve the training system and increase the scientific potential in oriental studies was adopted.

According to the document, the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies will be formed under Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, UzA reported.

In cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, joint educational programs will be organized in new areas and specialties that are promising for the country, as well as implementation of international projects.

Research Center for the Study of Oriental Culture and Heritage, as well as a Research and Analytical Center for Research on Development of the Eastern Countries will be also established at the University.
