University of Journalism and Mass Communications to train military journalists
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan is again in the center of attention - it becomes the only university in the country where military journalists will be trained starting from September 2019.
During the presentation, the sides discussed development of military journalism in Uzbekistan, as well as the development of military subjects in the Mass Media.
In the USSR, military journalists were trained at the Lviv Higher Military-Political School, today military journalism in the CIS exists at the Military University (Moscow) and at VSU (Voronezh).
A start in work in this direction will serve as a memorandum concluded between the capital university and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Its main goal is to conduct joint educational and educational work among students and military personnel. Among the directions of the document are the training and retraining of military journalists by university professors, lectures, and workshops of practical classes.
The direction of military journalism will be carried out in two stages: undergraduate (4 years) and 4 monthly courses (576 hours) of retraining.
In 2019-2020, the University will accept 20 students on a grant basis. Especially for them developed a specialized training program. Along with general education, classes in military knowledge and the basics of military skills are also included.
