Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The unique Urungach Lake and the surrounding area of43 hectares are declared a state hydrological natural monument.
This is envisages by the resolution of the Government of Uzbekistan from 8 October “On ordering the use of certain natural territories and objects of the Ugam-Chatkal State National Natural Park”.
The main goal of this natural monument is the preservation of the lake “Urungach” with the adjacent territory, the reproduction and restoration of the flora and fauna of the mountain ecosystem. The State Forestry Committee has been identified as responsible for the implementation of these tasks.
It is noted that until 1 March 2020, an inventory of natural objects and complexes, including trees aged 100 years and above, will be carried out in this territory.
