UNESCO chief to visit Uzbekistan – FM
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation of the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) led by its Director-General Irina Bokova will arrive in Uzbekistan on 24 August 2013.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that the delegation will meet the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
The delegation will hold negotiations with the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. It will visit several educational and scientific establishments of Uzbekistan.
The UNESCO delegation will participate in the opening ceremony of the International musical festival Sharq Taronalari in Samarkand and the conference “Musical traditions of the East in context of modern culture”.
