UNDP Administrator visits Uzbekistan National Library
The delegation visited reading rooms of the library and familiarized with information-communication technologies, introduced in the library, the press service of Uzbekistan National Library said.
The guests underlined high level of equipment of the library, services provided to the users and rich fund of the library.
The delegation was impressed with conditions created for people with limited liabilities. The delegation also expressed great interest in preserving cultural heritage and unique books, with which the UNDP officials familiarized.
The delegation visited Center for digitalizing of the library, where they familiarized with specialized equipment to scan print materials and digitalized materials.
Clark expressed gratitude to National Library for hospitality and organization of specialized UNDP room in the library.
At the end of the visit, UNDP Administrator Helen Clark expressed gratitude to management and personal of the library and wrote her wishes to the honourable guests book of Uzbekistan National Library.
