UN Tourism Delegation Reviews Craft Projects in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During an official visit to Tashkent, a delegation from the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), led by Secretary-General Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, ознакомилась with several projects in the field of culture and crafts.

The delegation visited the GOZAR of ARTISANS space, located within the grounds of an 18th-century historic mosque. The project combines traditional craftsmanship techniques with modern design solutions, creating a platform for preserving and developing national heritage.

The guests also visited the embroidery school-workshop of Madina Kasymbaeva, situated in the “Suzuk Ota” creative space. This center integrates educational, craft, and exhibition functions.

The initiative aims to preserve the traditions of Uzbek embroidery while providing opportunities for training and professional development for a new generation of artisans.
