Umid Shadiev becomes permanent representative of Uzbekistan to UNESCO

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has appointed a permanent representative of the country to UNESCO. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry.

Umid Shadiev became the new permanent representative of Uzbekistan to UNESCO. Prior to this appointment, he worked as an adviser to the Permanent Mission of Uzbekistan to the United Nations in New York.

At this post, he replaced Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva, the daughter of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

Umid Shadiyev, according to the foreign policy department of Uzbekistan, departed from Tashkent city to Paris on 21 August 2018.
