Umid Shadiev Appointed Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to UAE

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Umid Rustamovich Shadiev has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Arab Emirates. The appointment was confirmed during the 14th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, following a formal nomination by the President.

During the deliberations, officials noted that the appointment is intended to further strengthen bilateral relations based on mutual trust, while expanding practical cooperation in trade, economic, investment, innovation, and tourism sectors.

Senators emphasized that Shadiev possesses significant experience and profound knowledge of foreign policy, which will enable him to effectively represent Uzbekistan’s interests on the international stage.

Until December of last year, Shadiev served as the Chairman of the Tourism Committee. Following his departure from that post, the position was filled by Abdulaziz Akkulov, the former Uzbek Ambassador to the UAE.
