Ukrainian Diaspora in Uzbekistan condemns provocative actions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Republican International Culture Center hosted a meeting of the representatives of Ukrainian and Crimea-Tatar diasporas, which considered situation in Ukraine and inadmissibility to interfere to internal affairs of the independent state.

The Diaspora condemn unsanctioned meeting near Tara Shevchenko monument and Embassy of Ukraine in Tashkent and called for support of demonstrators in Ukraine. They made statements on behalf of the diaspora of Ukraine in Uzbekistan and disseminated incorrect information, uz24.uz reported.

Chairperson of the Republican Ukrainian Cultural Center “Slavutich” Vladimir Boyko made a statement on behalf of ethnic Ukrainians.

He said that after receiving information on this meeting, the Diaspora initiated the meeting to officially state that such actions are provocative and do not meet opinion of Ukrainian Diaspora in Uzbekistan. He said that no conflict can be solved with force. Democracy should be developed gradually and only via development of legislative base.

He said that the swindlers will be punished for violation of the law.
