UAE agricultural and food company expresses interest in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting with representatives of the Phoenix Agro Industry and Trade Company CA (UAE) was held at the State Investment Committee of Uzbekistan.

Phoenix Agro Industry and Trade Company CA is a global agrifood group engaged in manufacturing, supplying, processing and selling through an integrated supply chain. The company is engaged in projects in more than 20 countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Vietnam and other countries. Today, there is an active expansion of cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, for example, the company has invested more than US$130 million in Kazakhstan.

In connection with the favorable conditions for investment created in the country, the company expressed a desire to invest in Uzbekistan, in particular in the cultivation and processing of agricultural products.

During the conversation, experts of the committee presented information on the investment climate, in particular, about the benefits provided for investment in the agro-industrial sector of Uzbekistan, and also made a presentation on promising projects.

The need to introduce the most advanced technologies in the agrarian sector of Uzbekistan was noted to increase crop yields, in particular, new types of agricultural equipment, innovative agricultural technologies, crop rotation practices, etc.

On the part of the committee, the company;s management was assisted in organizing a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Phoenix Agro Industry and Trade Company CA expressed their intention to invite the world’s leading agronomists to Uzbekistan to study the land plots allocated for investment, as well as to hold a training seminar for interested farmers of the republic.
