Turnover of Chelyabinsk region and Uzbekistan reach US$291m in 2017
Tashkent, within the framework of the Days of the Chelyabinsk Region, hosted a business forum, which was attended by representatives of 150 enterprises from both countries.
"The trade turnover between Chelyabinsk region and Uzbekistan increased by 76% last year. But the potential of cooperation is not exhausted. I am confident that the visit of our delegation and the business forum will give a positive impetus to development of bilateral relations," Boris Dubrovsky said.
Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Nodir Otarjonov noted interest in South Ural products of metallurgy, machine-building and instrument-making enterprises, and suggested in the course of further work to discuss the possibility of creating a joint venture in the textile industry.
Several agreements on joint activities were signed during the forum (Stroytechnika and Chelyabinsk Caliber, with RUZAB) and the supply of products (Chelyabinsk Compressor Plant, TAMAK and Bur-Instrument).
Boris Dubrovsky took part in the opening of the trading house of the Chelyabinsk region in Tashkent.
