Turkish Delegation Visits Medical Center in Bukhara

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation led by the Minister of Health of Türkiye, Kemal Memişoğlu, accompanied by the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Asilbek Khudayarov, visited the Bukhara branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid.

This medical institution is one of the largest multidisciplinary hospitals in the region. Last year, approximately 124,000 patients sought care at the facility, with more than 38,500 receiving inpatient treatment. Furthermore, the branch performed around 11,000 surgical operations, nearly 60% of which were classified as high-tech interventions.

Members of the delegation spoke highly of the conditions created at the center and its modern material and technical infrastructure. They also familiarized themselves with the advanced methods used to perform complex surgical procedures.

The Turkish Health Minister specifically highlighted the implementation of rare operations, such as liver and kidney transplants, emphasizing the high level of qualification among the medical staff and the quality of care provided to patients.

Following the visit, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in the healthcare sector, exchange professional experience, and implement modern medical technologies.
