Turkish Company PRIMA to Invest US$20 Million in Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held a meeting with representatives of the Turkish company PRIMA.
During the talks, the Turkish side expressed its intention to establish a modern production facility in Uzbekistan, specifically within the Tashkent Pharma Park — the country’s innovation, research, and manufacturing pharmaceutical cluster.
The project envisions an investment of US$20 million and the creation of more than 350 new jobs.
The new facility will produce baby diapers, hygiene products, and wet wipes.
PRIMA is part of the international corporation Procter & Gamble (P&G), which operates in over 180 countries and is a global leader in the production of household and hygiene goods.
Abdullah Azizov provided investors with detailed information on the favorable working conditions created for foreign companies, available incentives, and the cluster’s modern infrastructure.
The Turkish partners highly praised Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical and hygiene markets, the country’s attractive investment climate, and agreed on concrete practical steps for project implementation.
