Turkish company begins to develop a conceptual design of new terminal of Tashkent Airport
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Turkish company Yildirim Holding A.S. proceeded to development of a conceptual design of the new terminal of Tashkent Airport, the press service of Uzbekistan Airways said.
The airline noted that until 2021, it is planned to implement a number of projects involving the reconstruction and modernization of infrastructure, including the reconstruction of air terminals and runways in Termez, Samarkand and others, as well as the construction of an international passenger terminal in the capital.
“Currently, the Turkish company Yildirim Holding A.S. proceeded to development of a basic conceptual design of the project for the construction of a passenger terminal on the basis of the existing “Tashkent-2”.
Uzbekistan Airways recalled that in recent years terminals have been built at the airports Tashkent, Bukhara, Urgench, Ferghana and Navoi. An international arrivals terminal with a capacity of up to 1,200 passengers / hour was commissioned in the capital, a 400-passenger terminal per hour in Nukus, and a runway overhauled in Urgench.
