Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A working meeting was held at the Uzbekistan Football Association with representatives of leading Turkish construction companies, KOC Construction and Bahadir Kul Architects, dedicated to the project for the construction of the New Central Football Stadium in Tashkent.
During the presentation, the Turkish specialists provided detailed explanations of the stadium’s architectural solutions, structural features, modern infrastructure, and spectator safety systems, as well as the internal facilities for athletes and technical staff.
The leadership of the Uzbekistan Football Association offered recommendations and suggestions, emphasizing the need for full compliance with all FIFA technical standards. Special attention was given to creating modern conditions for fans, specialists, and media representatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work on refining and improving the project.
It should be recalled that on 11 November 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new stadium in New Tashkent. The US$100 million investment project is set to become a key milestone in the development of football in the country. The stadium is designed to harmoniously combine modern architecture with national values, emphasizing environmental sustainability, “smart management,” and a comfortable urban environment.
The facility will be integrated into the natural surroundings, employing “green energy” principles, modern management technologies, and spectator conveniences.
The new stadium will fully meet FIFA standards and is set to become one of the largest and most technologically advanced football complexes in Asia. It will host the 2027 U-20 World Cup and serve as a long-term driver for the development of Uzbek football and youth sports.
