Turkish business pay visit to Tashkent city administration

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 February 2019, a meeting was held in the khokimiyat of Tashkent city with representatives of leading Turkish companies in the field of electronics, lighting, construction and logistics.

The parties discussed the key stages of urban development and external illumination of buildings. The guests expressed their willingness to participate in various projects aimed at developing the capital’s infrastructure.

Turkey is an important trading partner for Uzbekistan, following the results of 2018, the volume of trade operations between our countries amounted to approximately US$1.9 billion. This was achieved due to the fruitful work of a large number of specialists from various industries and services.

One of the last projects that was positively received by the public was the initiation of the construction of the Tashkent-Samarkand toll road. The commissioning of this highway, parallel to the existing one, will significantly reduce the time of a trip from one city to another.

The above-mentioned meeting is one of many on the way to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation of Tashkent with representatives of the business circles of Turkey.
